New Orleans Museum of Art - page 1 2

In November 2003 the New Orleans Museum of Art inaugurated the Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden adjacent to the Museum of Art in City Park. The nearly five-acre Garden was designed to display a permanent collection of sculptures by twentieth- and twenty-first century European, American, Latin American, Israeli and Japanese artists. The Garden was opened with fifty sculptures and all restoration and conservation treatments on the pieces were performed by John E. Ward, owner of MasterWorks Studios, LLC.. Several including the Una Battaglia by Arnaldo Pomodoro and the Acme by Saint Clair Cemin required more extensive treatment. In 2005 John Ward returned to the Garden to perform conservation treatments on new acquisitions and conservation maintenance on the entire collection.

On the following pages you will see some of the various works getting their final cleaning prior to the opening day of the Garden. Mouse over each image for name of piece and artist.
